Editorial Guidelines & How We Rate

How we review Bitcoin casinos

btcgambling.com is an independent, reader-supported site. We do not run casinos, we do not sell review scores, and we do not publish operator press releases as reviews. This page explains where the information in our reviews comes from, how we earn money, and what we will and will not do.

Where the facts in a review come from

  1. The operator’s own documents. Before writing a review we read every policy page the casino publishes: general terms, bonus terms, payment and withdrawal rules, KYC and privacy policy, responsible gambling page. Limits, wagering requirements, fees and time frames in our reviews are quoted from those pages, with the date we checked them.
  2. The licence record. We look up the licence number against the regulator’s own registry, not the seal on the casino’s footer. If a casino is unlicensed, or the licence cannot be verified, the review says so at the top.
  3. Our own screenshots. The images in a review are taken by us from the casino’s site or from an account we opened, not supplied by the operator. Where we have made a deposit and a withdrawal, the review shows the transaction with the amount, the fee and the time it took, with wallet addresses and transaction IDs blurred.
  4. Public player reports. For complaints, payout disputes and site outages we read player forums and the operator’s own support channels. We report what we found and link to it where we can; we do not invent “player feedback”.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment for a positive review, and an operator cannot pay to have a negative fact removed.
  • We do not list bonus figures we have not checked against the current terms. When an offer changes, the review is updated and the date at the top of the review changes with it.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links, marked as sponsored and routed through our own domain. If you sign up through one of them we may earn a commission from the operator. That commission costs you nothing, and it does not change what we write about any casino. An affiliate agreement does not spare an operator a critical review: see our SwC Poker or Ignition reviews. See our full terms of use for the legal version.

Who writes here

Our reviews and guides are written by Markus Vane and Sophie Langford, and every review carries a second name under the byline: the colleague who checked the licence, the bonus terms and the payment figures against the sources before publication, with the date of that check. Unsigned pieces, tools and reference pages appear under the Editorial Team byline. Reviews link back to this page so you can always see how the work was done.

Updates and corrections

Casino terms change constantly. The date shown at the top of each review is the date of the last edit. We re-check the headline bonuses and payment terms on our most-read pages every month. If you spot an error, a bonus that no longer works or a casino that has stopped paying, please tell us through the contact page and we will verify and update the page.

Responsible gambling

Gambling should be entertainment paid for with money you can afford to lose. Every review links to the operator’s deposit-limit and self-exclusion tools, and our responsible gambling page lists free support services by country.
